Spring Hiatus

Over the past three months, I think we have produced a lot of good stuff here at the Television Crossover Universe.  But my book is just about done.  I've only got a few dozen more entries to add, and then a lot of editing.  I really need to utilize my time to finish the book, as I'm sure I can have to out by summer.  So I'll be taking a break for the next month at least to put more time towards the book.  Look out though on April 1 as there will be several new posts that day.  And of course, James Bojaciuk will be still posting here as time permits.  I hope you've been enjoying the TVCU, and I have a lot of blog post subjects already in mind for when I start back up again in May or June.  Meanwhile, please join our crossover discussions at our Facebook forum here . So if I don't see you on Facebook, I'll see you in the summer.  Have a good spring. --Robert E. Wronski, Jr.

As a kid, I really liked the Girl from UNCLE, and years later I learned the show was actually a spin-off.  Who knew?  Well, apparently everyone else in the world but me. 1952--TALES OF THE SLAYER VOLUME FOUR--"Undeadsville"-- Zoe Kuryakin  is the slayer.  She mentions having a cousin named Ilya from the Ukraine.  Ukrainian Ilya Kuryakin will be an agent of UNCLE. November 1952--BEWITCHED--"Samantha's French Pastry"--Uncle Arthur accidentally pulls Napoleon from the past.  Napoleon has also appeared on THE AVENGERS, THE TIME TUNNEL, I DREAM OF JEANNIE, THE PRISONER, TIME BANDITS, THE NEVER SAY U.N.C.L.E. AFFAIR, MARRIED WITH CHILDREN, and BLACKADDER:  BACK AND FORTH.   1964 to 1968--THE MAN FROM UNCLE--Two spies do spy stuff. February 1965--THE MAN FROM UNCLE--"The Bow Wow Affair"--Guido Panzini appears.  Guido Panzini is a fictional character, the creation of comedian Pat Harrington Junior.  He also appears on a lot of co...

PROPHETS: A TVCU Quickie

Image
One of my "de-zonkers", if you will, has been the theory that writers could be writing about real events without knowing they are real events, because the events appeared to them in psychic flashes, and the writers thought they were writing pure fiction of their own creation. That theory was inspired by some previous stories, such as the one where Robert E. Howard learned about Conan from a dream, which is why Conan could really exist in the distant forgotten past and we could have stories of him today. Of course, this theory is only one of multiple explanations I can pull out when a show that is in the TVCU is referenced as fictional within another show that is also in the TVCU.  There's of course time travel, reality shows, unauthorized biographies, and more. Just a few years ago, Supernatural unknowingly helped support my psychic theory, and one upped it.  In an episode, Dean and Sam Winchester discover they are the subjects of a book series called Supernatural...

TVCU CREW VIEW MARCH 21, 2014

Well, the last one was popular enough that I guess I need to do another.  Here's what's current and relevant among us who obsess about TV crossovers this week: Doing these TVCU Crew View posts the past few months have made a big difference. We have had roughly a 1,000 more views per month since we starting doing them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's a recent TVCU relevant "Lost Issue".   You can see all the Lost Issues at its own website.  A link is located below on the right hand side of this page. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On March 9, Ivan  made this observation:   Anyone else catch tonight's ONCE UPON A TIME? It is set 1 YEAR after the events of the mid-season finale, which means the show hasn't been in real-time. ----------------------------------------------------...

HORROR CROSSOVER ENCYCLOPEDIA: THE DELETED ENTRIES

Image
ANNOUNCEMENT:  THE BOOK WILL BE CALLED THE HORROR CROSSOVER ENCYCLOPEDIA AND THE SHARED REALITY DISCUSSED WITHIN THE BOOK WILL BE REFERRED TO AS THE HORROR UNIVERSE, DESPITE PREVIOUS POSTS HERE AND ELSEWHERE.  HORROR CROSSOVER UNIVERSE WAS A TENTATIVE TITLE BUT IT WILL NOT BE EITHER THE TITLE OF THE BOOK NOR THE NAME OF THE SHARED REALITY WITHIN THE BOOK. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My book isn't finished, but it is full, so I find myself having to remove some less relevant entries to make room for some entries that are more relevant that still need to be added.  But rather than just delete them, I though I'd offer them for free to you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Each of the following pictures corresponds to an entry currently in the book.  As I needed to make room for more crossover entries, some pic...
