Television Crossover Universe

 Some spoilers, will be mentioning the new Flash movie and Spider-Verse. The TVCU was created based on the idea of a shared reality based on crossovers.  And it still is.   However, in recent years, films and television have been embracing the multiverse concept. From the beginning, the TVCU has used the multiverse concept.  We had the Looniverse for cartoons that don't fit in a "real world", like funny talking animals.  We had the TVCU-2 for reboots.  We had a mirror universe.   The TVCU has also had a concept that it happens the way we see it on the screen.  So when things are shown to be in the same reality, we accept that.   And I tried to cram things in sometimes, like putting all the versions of Superman in one timeline.   But the film and television industry have shown me a new way.   We know now that Ghostbusters and Real Ghostbusters are alternate timelines.  We know that every version of the T...

  Everything happens somewhere... but somethings happen in more than one universe apparently.   Spoilers ahead, especially if you haven't seen the Flash movie yet.   I love identifying which universe everything happens in, but sometimes that's not such an easy task if I try to place everything in one particular spot.  I came across this with Scooby-Doo, thus I wrote the Scooby-Doo Multiverse with multiple timelines.  The one consistency of those timelines was the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, which seemed to take place in nearly every timeline, which diverged after that series.  (Most of those timelines but not all also included the New Scooby-Doo Movies).  So Batman (1989) is a similar situation it appears. Let's start at the beginning.   In 1989, Tim Burton rebooted the Batman franchise with a smash hit film starring Michael Keaton.  This movie was followed by a sequel, Batman Returns.  And then Joel Schumacher to...

So Crisis is ended.  The Multiverse was restored, but changed.  And while Earth-66 was not shown to be restored, several other worlds were, and there's nothing to say it wasn't.  So we can keep our TVCU. But going forward, I'm going to take the opportunity to restructure a bit of TVCU Multiverse theory.  Perhaps we can consider Batman'66/Wonder Woman'77 a "Post-Crisis" comic.  If Earth's 1, 38, and Black Lightning can be merged, why not the worlds of Batman'66 and Wonder Woman'77?  Into a Television Crossover Universe?  So that's what I'm going with.  Also note the world of Super Friends was identified as Earth-1938.  I like that because it avoids confusion with Earth-12, the DC Animated Universe.  Also now I can mention that the DC Extended Universe was shown to exist, even beyond the multiverse that was destroyed, yet still connected to the Speed Force.  So the TVCU Mulitverse.  I think going forward...

I haven't read it yet, but the TVCU Crew has informed me of some revelations from the comic book tie in to Crisis. One that's a problem is that they identify Earth-76 as the home of Wonder Woman'77 and Earth-78 as the home of the Christopher Reeves movies.  This negates some crossovers involving the Wonder Woman'77 comic and Batman'66 comic and I think that's a huge mistake on DC's part.  Especially since they included Smallville season 11 as canon. They also included Super Friends, Earth-N52, and Earth-D, which aren't problems but are cool enough to mention. They didn't seem to give Super Friends an Earth designation, which would have been useful to me for my Scooby-Doo Team-Up post. Well, spoilers, but the Television Crossover Multiverse is gone, so... see you all in January... But seriously, I revise my thoughts and think that somehow a merged Earth may emerge, in which case all TVCU will be retroactively pulled into the Arrowverse. Does that mean we can't use alternate realities anymore? Not really. DC kept using Hypertime as a new "multiverse" following Crisis, so I imagine so can we. So we don't have to say Alien doesn't exist just because it doesn't fit in the Arrowverse.

So... Earth-66 is gone.  Earth-66 is now canonically the world of Batman'66.   According to Thom Holbrook, that connects to the following shows.
