The Television Crossover Universe Celebrates Patrick Rahall!!!

Image
This is the last in the bio series. Just as it only took one blog post to make Brad Mengel a TVCU Crewsie, likewise Patrick Rahall only guest co-hosted one episode of the podcast, in which we discussed Stranger Things, and that was enough to make him a Crewsie. Beyond this one episode, I'd already known Patrick of course.  Some may know him better as Patsy the Angry Nerd. I first met Patrick through the live chat experience that accompanies Trick or Treat Radio's live broadcasts on Wednesday night.  Both of us had become quite the irregulars on that show. I later had the opportunity to meet the man in person at a gathering at Dynamo Marz's home.  (Dynamo, in case you didn't know, was the person who recommended I have my own podcast, and has written the foreword for the 2nd edition of the Horror Crossover Encyclopedia.) At that party, Patsy and I hit it off and I knew I wanted to have him on the show at some point.  Patsy was also a regular co-host on th...

Whatever happened to the second edition of the Horror Crossover Encyclopedia?

I’ve announced it.  And the publishers announced it.  It was supposed to come out in late September, or early October, or mid October. The release isn’t up to me, but as far as I know, it’s still happening. The second edition will feature a matte cover by a new graphic designer, a new retrospective introduction from me, a new foreword from Trick or Treat Radio’s Dynamo Marz, and selected revised entries. 18thWall is known in its short span for putting out great stories from amazing authors who win awards.  It’s impressive how much quality such a young publisher puts out.  However, as a young company, they aren’t so good with making and meeting deadlines. But the wait is usually worth it.  So I ask, please be patient.  And also, please stop asking me when it will be out.  I don’t know.  But you know I market the poop out of my work, so trust me that when I know, you all will know. If you are really impatient, I suggest contacting the pub...

The rumors of my regeneration…

I thought I had to give up writing and entertaining in order to serve a higher calling, but then God told me that writing and entertaining is my higher calling. So my retirement/sabbatical was short lived. So let me tell you what’s coming now that I’m back. First, the Horror Crossover Universe 2nd ed. will be out from 18thWall Productions soon.  It will feature a new introspective by me, a new foreword by Trick or Treat Radio’s Dynamo Marz, and a new matte cover. Next.  The podcast.  I didn’t leave the podcast.  I’m just behind the scenes like an evil mastermind.  I was going through a rough patch and hosting, directing and producing the show was tough on me.  The Television Crossover Universe Podcast, with it’s weekly guests who all have books out that need to be read before conducting a proper interview was hard on me.  I recently have had increased medical problems (though not too serious) and the taking on of a supplemental job that have m...

When I was interviews on Trick or Treat Radio, one of the listeners asked if there was mention of Alfred Hitchcock's films within the Horror Crossover Encyclopedia.  Though his films are not all crossover linked, a few of his films do make it in.
