Television Crossover Universe

 Every weekend I block out two hours for writing, and I should be using that time editing my book today, but I'm really not enjoying writing that book, and thinking of abandoning it altogether, so instead I'm doing another blog post to procrastinate from that other project. FRED AND BARNEY MEET THE SHMOO (ANIMATED SERIES) Release Date:   November 8, 1979 - November 15, 1980 (Setting is circa one million B.C.) Series:   Flintstones; The Shmoo Animated Series:   L’il Abner The Story:   While working as police officers, Fred and Barney encounter the Shmoo! Notes:   The Shmoos are a species from the Valley of Shmoon.  In the L’il Abner comic strip, the hero discovers them in 1948, and brings them home.  This strange species, which is edible, and happy to oblige, and also make great pets, ends up multiplying asexually and exponentially, to an extent that threatens to destroy the world economy.  This leads to a mass government led slaughter of all Shmoos outside the valley. They are afterwards declared a major threat to national security.
