Television Crossover Universe

 Sorry I haven't posted in a while.  My goal is to do one blog post a month but I see my last one was in May.  Lately, my favorite past time has been napping on my days off. Several years ago I covered how the ABC soaps were all interconnected.  I grew up watching those with my mother.  So the Young and the Restless was not on my radar.  But recently it came up as a topic in the TVCU discussion forum on Facebook, and I realized there were enough crossovers for a post, although a very short post.   1952 to 2009--Guiding Light--This soap crossed over with As the World Turns and the Avengers!!! 1956 to 2010--As the World Turns--This series has crossed over with both the Young and the Restless and Guiding Light.   1973 to Present--The Young and the Restless--Set in Genoa City, this soap focuses on the Abbott and Newman families.   1987 to Present--The Bold and the Beautiful--This soap is in the same universe as the Young and the Re...

 It's become a tradition to post a Xmas themed post every year.  It's also become a tradition that I end up late posting these.  So in keeping with that tradition, it's February and here's this year's Xmas post.  I surveyed the TVCU Crew for what I should cover this year, and Prep and Landing is what was decided, so here we go.   1912 to Present--Santa has appeared on screen since 1912, in over a thousand films and television shows. Not all are TVCU canon. Of those that are, some are of the “real” Santa and some are just a man in the suit, but it’s a TVCU concept that anyone wearing the suit can become possessed by the Christmas Spirit, a magical tulpa like aspect of Jesus. Last year on April Fool's Day, I posted a Memeverse blog.  This year, we have something else special in store for April Fool's Day, but that doesn't mean I can't do another Memeverse post anyways. I really love memes, though some may think I don't.  A few years ago, I created the Crossovers Forum on Facebook as a place where I'd hoped serious crossover connections would be discussed, but where we could also have fun and post silly memes and stuff.  Well, eventually, the memes became the most predominant thing to be posted and there was very little discussion of actual valid crossovers.  So I created a new forum on Facebook dedicated solely to the Television Crossover Universe, with a no meme policy. Memes have no place in the TVCU, but since everything happens somewhere, I suppose there might be a Memeverse out there among the alternate realities. Today's Memeverse post is dedicated to our top ten most viewed blogs.
