Television Crossover Universe

Gordon Long is the final of the original Crew to discuss.  Gordon was a founding member of the TVCU Crew along with Ivan and James. Like the previous two Crewsies I discussed, I met Gordon Long also in the Wold Newton Family Yahoo group, where Gordon, among other things, was the master of linking fictional characters based on names. When I created the Crossovers Forum, Gordon was one of the earliest and most active participants, and when the TVCU website was launched, he became one who contributed a lot of ideas and discussion relevant to the TVCU.  He really got what the TVCU was about.  He gets crossovers and he happens to know a lot about classic TV, in such detail that makes him a great resource for me. This website recently hit a million views, just as we are about to celebrate tomorrow our sixth anniversary.   I created the TVCU concept as a kid, when I first discovered the idea of crossovers.  It started in a bunch of notebooks, and in 2011 I created this website as a place to share my ideas with a few friends I had met online that had similar interests.   I had no idea where this was going.  A million views.  Published books.  Podcasts.   Some would say that I am the TVCU, but I didn't do this alone. Along with the website, I run a Facebook forum, where the ideas regarding the TVCU get shared and discussed by a bunch of folks.  Many of those ideas posted there are often shared on this website.  Early on, I realized it just made good sense to allow some of those who contribute the most to those discussions and really get the concept to become contributors to the site.  This was the genesis of the TVCU Crew, originally ...

WARNING:  THERE IS CONFLATION OF EVERY TIME JERRY SEINFELD HAS PLAYED HIMSELF IN A FICTIONAL SETTING. 1979 to 1988--SEINFELD--Buzsla and Ollu are living in separate apartments in the same building in New York City.  Buzsla has taken the name of Cosmo Kramer, and Ollu is now Newman.  While Kramer becomes good friends with comedian Jerry Seinfeld, Newman can't stand him.  In the final episode, Jerry Seinfeld, George (really Larry David), Elaine, and Kramer are on their way to Hollywood when NBC wants to make a show based on the four of them, called Jerry.  But circumstances wind them up in jail with a 10 year sentence.  Fortunately, they get out after just a few months, thanks to NBC execs.  The show does get picked up, but the name is changed to the Seinfeld Chronicles for the pilot, then simply Seinfeld for the series.  The show airs from 1989 to 1998.  This isn...
