New Domain

Congrats!  You've found us. You may have noticed we are no longer at www.televisioncrossoveruniverse.com anymore.  I still own the domain, but due to Google glitching, I can't use it for this blog currently.  So for now. we are relocated to www.televisioncrossoveruniverse.blogspot.com. It's still the exact same website.  And we're still working on new posts.  I'm currently working on a new Terminator post and updating the old A Nightmare on Elm Street Post.  I just updated Scooby-Doo Team-Up and Ivan has recently updated Ghostbusters:  After the Call. So please tell all your friends, and your enemies too, that we are still here, with a new domain name. Thank you all for your continued support.  Don't forget to follow our discussion of Facebook.   (We're almost to our ten year anniversary, so we're not going anywhere!)

More Crisis Crisis....

I haven't read it yet, but the TVCU Crew has informed me of some revelations from the comic book tie in to Crisis. One that's a problem is that they identify Earth-76 as the home of Wonder Woman'77 and Earth-78 as the home of the Christopher Reeves movies.  This negates some crossovers involving the Wonder Woman'77 comic and Batman'66 comic and I think that's a huge mistake on DC's part.  Especially since they included Smallville season 11 as canon. They also included Super Friends, Earth-N52, and Earth-D, which aren't problems but are cool enough to mention. They didn't seem to give Super Friends an Earth designation, which would have been useful to me for my Scooby-Doo Team-Up post. Also mentioned is Earth-F, the home of the animated Fleischer Studios shorts, which I have previously devoted an entire blog post too, so it's nice to be able to name that Earth now. Okay, see you all in January, or after I read the comic myself if I...

Superman: The Movie: A TVCU Timeline

Image
Superman'78 came from a very different Krypton, one that exploded actually thousands of years ago and where the architecture was based on an advanced crystal technology.  Kal-El came through a time portal and ended up in landing him in Smallville, Kansas in 1948 (though he had aged two years during his travel).  He was raised by Jonathan and Martha Kent.  He moved to a Metropolis that is clearly New York City.  It has a Stature of Liberty and United Nations, and Rex Reed is seen at the Daily Planet.  Rex Reed worked in NYC in 1978. 1947 (or thousands of years ago)--Birth of Kal-El. 1948--According to Lex Luthor, Krypton exploded in 1978, even though Jor-El tells Clark that Krypton exploded thousands of years ago. 1951--Kal-El lands on Earth and is adopted by the Kents. 1965--Death of Jonathan Kent. Clark leaves to find his destiny. 1973 to 1986--SUPER FRIENDS-- Is this Superman the same one that is in the Super-Friends? It seems like he should b...
