SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH
This is part 3 of the Archie trilogy (following Archie and Josie and the Pussycats) or part 3 of the magical blonde trilogy (following Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie) or part 2 of the TGIF series, or a tie-in with Horror Crossover Encyclopedia, or Cartoon Crossover Encyclopedia, or "Flintstones Forever: The Bedrock Anomaly" found in the upcoming Television Crossover Universe: Worlds and Mythology. In other words, this post is a perfect example of how intertwined the TVCU is.
This post is about two girls named Sabrina Spellman, who may in fact be two versions of the same person, somehow both coexisting in the same timeline. This post will cover the comics, live action series, and both animated series.
NOTE THAT THE INFORMATION IN THIS BLOG WILL SUPERSEDE THE JOSIE AND ARCHIE BLOG POSTS. I PLAN ON UPDATING THE JOSIE AND ARCHIE BLOG POSTS, AND WILL BE DOING SO AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE.
CLUELESS (TELEVISION SERIES)
BOY MEETS WORLD (TELEVISION SERIES)
April 19, 2002--From Toby O'Brien: I learned Brandy Norwood had an uncredited and probably unseen role in three sitcoms on the same day, playing "Mystery Caller".
AFTERLIFE WITH ARCHIE--A horror themed alternate reality for the Archie Comics characters. Crossovers include: "The Music of Eric Zann", "Godzilla is Yig", Cthulhu, shoggoths and other Lovecraftian entities, the Necronomicon, Dr Lovecraft, Kandarian demons
CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA--A more horror centered version of Sabrina, in which she was born in 1951, and was a teen in the 1960s.
MAD--Sabrina has been spoofed.
ROBOT CHICKEN UNIVERSE--Sabrina has been spoofed.
SO THAT'S IT. BELOW IS THE FULL LIST, YEAR BY YEAR, OF TGIF SHOWS. (SHOWS WILL ONLY BE LISTED ONCE, DURING THEIR FIRST TGIF SEASON.)
1988 TO 1989
1990 TO 1991

- Here's what we know about the surrounding area wherever Zed or his offspring live: The primary anomalous zones that we know of right now are Springfield (State Unknown), Arlen Texas, South Park Colorado, Quahog Rhode Island, Stoolbend Virginia, Lawndale Maryland, Mission Hill (a section of Boston, MA), Highland Texas, and Langley Falls Virginia. However, I'm sure more will be identified in the future. (Note that some have speculated that Riverdale may be part of the Anomaly. The original premise of the Anomaly in real world context was to connect prime-time and late night mature audience satirical animation situation comedies. Note that I have included Charlie and Sally Brown as offspring of Zed, mainly as a joke relationship to Cleveland Brown, but I do not include other Peanuts crossovers within this chronology except where they directly cross with other Anomaly shows like Simpsons or Family Guy. Likewise, Archie and other Riverdale based comics and shows are only included in the Offspring of Zed post under the same principle as Peanuts. It is a TVCU concept that Riverdale is in a “time lock” similar to the Anomaly, but while Anomaly towns are coexistent in both the TVCU and Looniverse, Riverdale is firmly planted within the TVCU, even if residents of Riverdale do sometimes still find their way into the Looniverse. While the Anomaly is explained via TVCU residents whose lineage trace back to the Flintstones and Rubbles of the Looniverse, and those involved in the Cult of Zed, Riverdale’s timelock is in place due to a spell that was likely improperly cast by Sabrina Spellman, that she has never been able or willing to reverse.)
November 1908--YOUNG INDIANA JONES CHRONICLES--"Vienna, November 1908"--Young Indy meets Sigmund Freud. Sigmund Freud has met Sherlock Holmes and also has appeared on BEWITCHED, I DREAM OF JEANNIE, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION, FRASIER, and SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH.
September 1909--YOUNG INDIANA JONES CHRONICLES--"British East Africa, September 1909"--Young Indy meets Teddy Roosevelt. Teddy Roosevelt has met Sherlock Holmes and also has appeared on BRONCO, THE VIRGINIAN, THE MUPPET SHOW: SEX AND VIOLENCE, BRET MAVERICK, VOYAGERS, THE GAMBLER RETURNS: LUCK OF THE DRAW, SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH, and FUTURAMA.
1925--This is the likely actual year that the original Sabrina Spellman was born.
1941--PEP COMICS # 22--First appearance of Archie. If Sabrina is responsible for the timelock and fluxing reality, even if not seen, Sabrina must have been around as a teenager at this point.
1962--ARCHIE'S MADHOUSE # 22--The first appearance of Sabrina. However, is Sabrina is responsible for the timelock and shifting realities, she must have been a teenager since the 1940s.
1969--ARCHIE AND HIS NEW PALS--The point of the episode is to bring Sabrina into the Archie show, but apart from brief exchanges with Miss Grundy, Mr Weatherbee, Dilton, and Big Moose, Sabrina spends the entire episode lurking in the background. Neither Archie, Jughead, Reggie, Betty, nor Veronica ever meet her or speak to her.
1969 to 1970--THE ARCHIE COMEDY HOUR--The same show as the previous year, but now an hour long with Sabrina segments added. Note that Archie, Sabrina, and Josie live in different towns, but all go to Riverdale High. This isn't any different than my high school, which was in my home town, but which was attended by students from four different towns.
1970--JOSIE # 42--Little known fact. The idea to change Josie to Josie and the Pussycats was in pitching the idea of turning the comic into a cartoon. This followed the success of making animated version of ARCHIE and SABRINA. So in preparation, the comic started making the conversion to match the new upcoming cartoon. In this issue, Josie meets Alan M.

In this issue, Josie meets Alan M.
1970 to 2009--JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS (COMICS)--The continuing series whether in their own title or in other titles, ran off and on from 1970 to 2009. Because Riverdale and the surrounding communities are in a time anomaly, the character don't age yet aren't aware that they don't age. Note that even though the film says they are in Riverdale, actually, Josie lives in Midvale, while Sabrina lives in Greendale. My thoughts is that Riverdale is the largest of the towns. It's like how people in Cambridge say they are from Boston. Archie, Josie, and Sabrina interacted from time to time, and they also interacted with MLJ super-heroes. Interestingly, time passes for the MLJ super-heroes but not the humor characters.
1970--Sabrina and the Groovie Goolies--From James Bojaciuk: Were you aware that Sabrina had a crossover tv cartoon where she joined a band with hip versions of Dracula, the Wolfman, Frankenstein's Monster, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and the Mummy. It was ever so creatively titled Sabrina and the Groovie Goolies (not to be confused with the much better band the Groovie Ghoulies). It aired for one season in 1970. For no obvious reason I'm inclined to think the Mummy is Klaris from Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy. Because of the date, I believe the Frankenstein's Monster in this series is the same Frankenstein's Monster that was created by a descendant of Victor Frankenstein during his duties at the insane New York power company called The Electric Company. This same Monster was also established to have fought a very dunk Dick Grayson--during the final days of his tenure as Batman--in Texas, as established by Robert.
1971 to 1973--ARCHIE'S TV FUNNIES--In this show, Archie and the gang present animated adaptations of popular comic strips like Smokey Stover and Dick Tracy. Sabrina appears.
1971--SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH--Toon version of the Archie Comics witch who uses her powers to aide the uncertainty of adolescence.
c. December 16, 1972--DAFFY DUCK AND PORKY PIG MEET THE GROOVIE GOOLIES--From Tomcil: It starts with the Looney Tunes. There was a crossover with the Groovie Goolies, which is a spin off of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, which is a spin off of The Archie Show. Sabrina crossed over with the Sonic the Hedgehog (comics). That crossed over with the Wildstorm and Image Universes as well as (different dimension) Sonic X.
1977--THE NEW ARCHIE/SABRINA HOUR--It's new. It's Archie. It's Sabrina. It's an hour.
1977 to 1978--SABRINA, SUPER WITCH--She's a super witch...
1980--This should be the year that the TV Sabrina was born. This may be the first time in which the Riverdale region began fluxing as a side effect of the timelock. Somehow both the TV show and comic/cartoon exist in the same timeline despite clearly being alternate reality counterparts.

1990 to 2001--ABC TGIF--In between the shows were little short segments featuring characters from the various TGIF characters. For the most part, the characters stayed in character, and the shows didn't really interact with each other during these bits. However, the oddness was that the bits usually involved the characters from these shows watching TGIF. Thus, you might see Steve and Laura of Family Matters talking about how cute Michelle is on Full House, or Sabrina the Teenage Witch talking about Boy Meets World. And sometimes they would even talk about their own shows. So, for that reason, I'm including this, but take this one as apocryphal.
1992 to Present--SONIC THE HEDGEHOG--Sabrina, however, did cross over with Sonic the Hedgehog, in a two part-special that expanded both series. Sonic the Hedgehog and Princess Sally Acorn meet the cast of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, in a 2-part crossover beginning in an issue of Archie Comics Sabrina comic series, and ending in a SonicSonic Super Special

1994--ARCHIE MEETS THE PUNISHER--The Punisher comes to Riverdale. Josie and the Pussycats perform at a dance. Besides the title crossover, Dino Manelli (from Sgt. Fury's Howling Commandos), Josie and the Pussycats, and Gotham City all appear. Dino Manelli is an interesting one. As his name implies, he's based on Dean Martin; but instead of being a look-alike analogue for Martin, Manelli is literally Martin with a lawyer friendly name. Both had hit film careers, record deals and such. The final evidence is that when Martin had the hit Dean Martin Show, Manelli had The Dino Show. Since they are one and the same (at least for TVCU purposes), Archie Meets the Punisher would have to take place before Martin's death in 1995. Other crossovers: Millie the Model, Katy Keene, Patsy Walker (the Hellcat!), Hedy Wolfe, That Wilkin Boy (Jughead's cousin) and Sabrina the Teenaged Witch. At one point Sabrina apparently comments: "So I asked the Doctor if the Hosts of Hoggoth were really hoary," which means at least once she's consulted with Dr. Strange. http:// www.webcitation.org/ 5vEBUu7X6. This link shows that Red was probably the one-time star of Freckles and His Friends--an Archie rip-off. Also it reveals that all of his thugs were one-time stars of Teen Humor comics. There are a number of other obscure crossovers mentioned that I didn't catch when I read Archie Meets the Punisher.
1995—Weird Science—“Community Property”--This episode of Weird Science is the first appearance of Gary Bullock in the role of Abraham Lincoln, a role he would reprise in twice each in Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Teen Angel. I am treating all of Bullock’s appearances as the president as crossovers; Weird Science and Sabrina are already in the TVCU, thus only Teen Angel is brought into the TVCU by Bullock’s Lincoln.--James Bojaciuk
May 1996--BOY MEETS WORLD--"The Happiest Show on Earth"--First, I should mention that a half hour before this show first aired, the family from STEP BY STEP were visiting Disney World. Now, cut to this episode, and Topanga goes to Disney World, and as a perfectly fine stalker, Cory follows her there. While there, Cory runs into Dana from STEP BY STEP, because, as we saw a half hour earlier, she was already there. Dana doesn't figure into the main plot so much. It just happens that they are both there at the same time. Disney had just bought ABC thus this cool crossover that also serves to promote Disney. But as Thom Holbrook, the master of crossover groupings has pointed out on his Poobala website, this minor crossover is actually huge to us crossoverists, as it links together two generations of TGIF: the original tied together mostly by Urkel appearances and the next generation, tied together by events, particularly Salem running through everyone's shows. BOY MEETS WORLD has also been zonked on other shows, including: MAYBE THIS TIME, SABRINA THE ANIMATED SERIES, VERONICA MARS, THE SIMPSONS, FAMILY GUY, THE VENTURE BROS., THE NOSTALGIA CRITIC, PORTLANDIA, and THE OFFICE. Note also that a lot of shows like to make a nod towards this series by mentioning having a teacher named Mr. Feeny, but it's really unlikely it's the same one, unless before and after this series the guy was actually really poor at holding a job and had to keep moving around, since not all these mentions are in shows with the same setting.
1996--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH--A girl, sent by her parents to live with her two eccentric aunts, finds out on her sixteenth birthday that she is a witch. As if this timeline wasn't confusing enough, this film stars Melissa Joan Hart, who a few months later debuts as Sabrina on the television series, but in the series all the other actors are recast and the origin story is retold, slightly altered, making this not part of the same canon as the live action series. Clearly, when Sabrina created the timelock, she also created a number of divergent timelines, some of which merged back into the main timeline.

SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH (TELEVISION SERIES)
Release Date: September 27, 1996 - April 24, 2003 (Contemporary Setting)
Series: Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (Live Action)
The Story: Teenaged Sabrina learns that she’s a witch from the two aunts she lives with, who are centuries old immortals.
Notes: Though based on the Archie Comics character, the continuity is completely separate. This Sabrina is a teen in the 1990s who first learns she is a witch in 1996. Also, she lives in Boston, not Riverdale or Greendale. In regards to the term “witch”, it tends to be a very general term for magic users in the Horror Universe. Some witches tend to be immortals with almost god-like powers. Some rely on spells, incantations, rituals, potions, and objects to perform magic. And then there are Wiccans who are just like Wiccans in the real universe. This series follows the 1996 TV Movie of the same name and is followed by Sabrina Goes to Rome. The series was remade as an animated series in 1999. The series has been referenced as fictional, paid homage to, and spoofed numerous times in other series and films. Interesting that the TV Sabrina has a similar origin to Zatanna. Her father is a witch but mother is mortal, and her parents can not see each other because the mother will be punished by the magical community since they forbid witches from marrying mortals. This also seems to match up with the magical community of Harry Potter and Bewitched in regards to views of mixed marriages. Note that Toby O'Brien has postulated that Esmerelda (from Bewitched) may be the great-grandmother of Sabrina. See here for more on this.
c. September 27, 1996--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH--”Pilot”--In the Sabrina pilot, it's mentioned that a bunny once ruled all of England for two months, but a time reversal erased it from history. This might be part of Anya's fear of bunnies and could be the bunny from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Ivan Ronald Schablotski adds: Might also tie in with the claim on South Park that the first Pope of the Catholic Church was a rabbit. Loki Carbis further adds: I've long suspected that the bunny that attacked Jimmy Carter was a descendant of the one in Holy Grail.
CLUELESS (TELEVISION SERIES)
SEASON 1 EPISODE 17 “MR. WRIGHT”
Release Date: February 7, 1997 (Contemporary Setting)
Horror Crosses: Sabrina the Teenage Witch (television)
The Story: Cher falls for a new boy.
Notes: During the closing credits, Cher is talking with Sabrina, who is posing as a student at Cher’s school and then snaps her fingers and vanishes when Cher looks away. This was a cross-promotional gag, but it still counts as a valid crossover.
1997--TOTALLY CALIFORNIA--Salem appears.
1997--TOTALLY CALIFORNIA--Salem appears.
BOY MEETS WORLD (TELEVISION SERIES)
SEASON 5 EPISODE 5 “THE WITCHES OF PENNBROOK”
Release Date: October 31, 1997 (Contemporary Setting)
Horror Crosses: Sabrina the Teenage Witch (Television)
The Story: Erik is temporarily dating Sabrina Spellman under unexplained circumstances in this episode that centers around a witch coven.
Notes: See the entries for Sabrina the Teenage Witch for another cross between Sabrina and Boy Meets World.
SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH (TELEVISION SERIES)
SEASON 2 EPISODE 8 “INNA-GADDA-SABRINA”
Release Date: November 7, 1997 (Contemporary Setting, as well as various past time periods in divergent timelines.)
Non-Horror Crosses: Boy Meets World; You Wish; Teen Angel
The Story: Salem the cat swallows a time ball that creates a divergent timeline, and then travels to the locations of the other three shows and does the same thing.
Notes: This was one of those network events, where four sitcoms in one night would somehow be connected. These things were great for ratings. In this case, the event was part of ABC’s family oriented TGIF line-up. The event began on Sabrina the Teenage Witch in “Inna-Gadda-Sabrina”, then continued onto Boy Meets World in “No Guts, No Corey”, You Wish in “Genie without a Cause”, and finally Teen Angel in “One Dog Night.” Boy Meets World was about young Cory, who has a crush on Topanga, the prettiest girl in school, and that's really all you need to know. You Wish was about a single mother who reluctantly accepts the services of a genie who's been imprisoned in a magic carpet for 2,000 years. After eating a six month old hamburger, Marty DePolo dies and God's Cousin Rod appoints him as his best friend's guardian Teen Angel. I’ve chosen to lump all four parts into one entry rather than four separate entries for each of the four shows. Boy Meets World had a previous cross with Sabrina which is listed separately.
December 1997--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH--"Oh What a Tangled Spell She Weaves"--Sabrina accidentally sends her aunts and cat to Merlin's castle.
December 1997--SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH--"Sabrina Claus"--Santa appears.
SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH (TELEVISION SERIES)
SEASON 2 EPISODE 16 “SABRINA AND THE BEANSTALK”
Release Date: February 6, 1998 (Contemporary Setting)
Non-Horror Crosses: Jack and the Beanstalk; Wizard of Oz (film)
The Story: When Sabrina accidentally whips up a magic beanstalk, Harvey climbs it and is captured by the Wicked Witch.
Notes: Clearly the events of the original story of Jack and the Beanstalk must have happened in the past of the Horror Universe. It seems as if there must be more than one Oz dimension connected to the Horror Universe, and the Wicked Witch here is a different one than any other one seen thus far.
1998--SABRINA GOES TO ROME--American teenage witch Sabrina and her food-obsessed magical talking cat and mouse travel to Rome, the last whereabout of her 16th-century aunt Sophia, who was banished after breaking the rule not to divulge her powers to a non-witch; her mission is to find out how Sophia can be freed by opening her golden locket. Sabrina stays with her Italian relatives; notably niece Gwen, an certain and therefore dangerously clumsy budding witch, actually joins her quest there. Being seen using magic, Sabrina gets followed by two tabloid reporters, Paul and Travis, who are promised at least $100,000 if they can expose a real witch, but Paul, an American-adopted Italian, who set out a to win her confidence to trick her easier till they can take a picture of her witchcraft, actually falls in love with her. Gwen has her own Roman admirer, timid Alberto, but impatience for him to make a move causes her to accidentally transform him into a street pigeon. The girls find only one way to Sophia's secret: a portrait by an obscure Renaissance painter, who meant more in auntie's life...

October 1998--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH--"Boy was my Face Red"--Sabrina meets King Arthur, though I don't know if time travel was involved or if it was his spirit.
October 1998--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH--"The Pom Pom Incident"--Through magic, no doubt, Martha Washington appears. (Also, little known fact I discovered in my research, both Eisenhower and Franklin Roosevelt were cheerleaders in college. Really.)
December 1998--SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH--"Christmas Amnesia"--Santa appears.
SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH (TELEVISION SERIES)
SEASON 3 EPISODE 19 “THE BIG SLEEP”
Release Date: March 12, 1999 (Contemporary Setting)
Non-Horror Crosses: Wizard of Oz
The Story: The Spellman household is cursed with poppies that put everyone under a sleeping spell until Sabrina freezes the poppies.
Notes: In the episode, it’s referenced that this situation is similar to the film, the Wizard of Oz, and yet, the fact is, despite referencing Wizard of Oz as fiction, the poppies are clearly from the real Oz. Sabrina and Wizard of Oz are both brought in independently to the Horror Universe and have had one other crossover together.
1999--SABRINA, DOWN UNDER--Offshoot of the popular TV show finds the teen witch (Melissa Joan Hart) on a trip with her friend (Tara Charendoff). There she finds romance with a merman.
1999 to 2001--SABRINA, THE ANIMATED SERIES--Short lived animated spin off of the television series Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The animated series is a prequel which features Sabrina as a skinny, attitude giving, pre-teen with small witch powers. Also features the hilarious wise-cracking cat Salem, Sabrina's naive surfer dude friend Harvey, spoiled brat rich girl Gem Stone, Sabrina's rule stricken uncle Uncle Quigley, Sabrina's spaced out friend Pi, and of course, Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda, Sabrina's two criticizing, witchy aunts. Each of the animated series that follow after the live action show seem to be in self-contained spin-off/reboot timelines. I'm too lazy to list them off as alternate universes. Clearly whatever spell Sabrina cast created a series of divergent timelines, some of which merge back into the main timeline, while others remain wholly separate.

SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH (TELEVISION SERIES)
SEASON 5 EPISODE 6 “THE HALLOWEEN SCENE”
Release Date: October 27, 2000 (Setting is October 31, 2000)
Horror Crosses: Frankenstein (Universal) -- See Notes
The Story: Sabrina tries to throw a Halloween party, but ends up spending the evening playing marriage counsellor for the Frankenstein Monster and his bride.
Notes: This is meant to be the monsters from Universal’s Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein, but I can’t agree with that. However, during the time the Universal Monster was trapped in La Mirada from 1948 to 1998, there were many appearances of a Universal type monster and occasionally a bride as well. It may be that this power couple seen during that time (and sometimes just Frankie) are the same Universal style monster and bride. If so, they were likely created by the Dr. Frankenstein seen in Mad Monster Party. This monster and bride tend to show up in more humorous situations. This cross with the Universal style Frankenstein brings the Sabrina television series into the Horror Universe. This includes the two related films and animated series and comic that were part of the same canon.
2001—Sabrina the Teenage Witch—“Sabrina and the Candidate”--Sabrina’s aunt attempts to get Lincoln to advise her campaign for mayor, but he refuses and returns to Heaven.
January 11, 2002--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH--"A Birthday Witch"--From Ivan Ronald Schablotski: SABRINA and I DREAM OF JEANIE are both in, IIRC, so this picture could theoretically support the notion that TVCU genies are actually long-loved witches, though probably under some kind of curse associated with their bottle / lamp / ring confinement. And from Barbara Eden!: Beth Broderick ("Zelda"), Caroline Rhea ("Hilda"), & Barbara ("Aunt Irma") on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. Barbara appeared in 3 episodes as "Irma Spellman." Irma was a witch, the matriarch of the Spellman family, & Sabrina's (portrayed by Melissa Joan Hart) great aunt. All of the episodes are available for FREE to Amazon Prime members, as well as on Hulu. Netflix subscribers can also get the episodes on DVD. Here are the links to the episodes on Hulu:

April 19, 2002--From Toby O'Brien: I learned Brandy Norwood had an uncredited and probably unseen role in three sitcoms on the same day, playing "Mystery Caller".
'Raising Dad' - "The House Of Stewart"
'Reba' - "She Works Hard For Their Money"
'Sabrina The Teenage Witch' - "Guilty!"
'Reba' - "She Works Hard For Their Money"
'Sabrina The Teenage Witch' - "Guilty!"
These were all broadcast on the night of April 19, 2002. So far I have no further information on this, what was the gist of her common thread in all three shows.
2002--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH IN FRIENDS FOREVER--Sabrina must prove that she is worthy of attending an academy for witches.
January 2003--SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH--"Sabrina in Wonderland"--Sabrina visits Wonderland and runs into Potsie Webber.
**APOCRYPHA**--2003 - Ivan is transferred from being on a ship to a desk job at a Hangar 18 in Virginia to work on
the academic aspects of his therianthropology research. Hangar 18s are covert installations found on military bases and government installations around the world, jointly utilized by the Ordnance and any other secret services active in the area.
The designation for Hangar 18 buildings was chosen from the erroneous use of Hangar 18 in urban legend as the building housing alien hardware on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, per UFOlogy lore. A fictional Hangar 18 in Arizona was the setting of the 1980 film HANGAR 18.

Ivan at work |
Ivan also begins corresponding with other horror hunters online, despite the ban against Ordnance personnel acting in any official capacity on U S soil (he again uses the alias Steven Pertwillaby to maintain anonymity). He arranges for the transportation of an esoteric book The Discovery of Magic that the Ordnance confiscated to a Buffalo-based hunter using the identity of Beowolf, so that Beowolf can return the book to its rightful owner and ensure it is being used responsibly. Unknown to Ivan, a strange sorcerer intercepts the tome and delivers it himself, ensuring Beowolf does not get the opportunity to meet Sabrina Spellman and learn of her youthful charms.
The book is an heirloom of the Spellman family, which includes Sabrina and her aunts, who live in the greater Boston area, as seen in the television series SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH (1996-2003), but because the character has remained a teenager since her first appearence inARCHIE's MAD HOUSE #22 (1962), it is suspected her family holds the secrets to eternal youth. The strange sorcerer is likely Doctor Strange, who first appeared in STRANGE TALES #110 (1963) by Marvel Comics (Sabrina had already been shown to be in communication with Doctor Strange in the 1994 one-shot comic, ARCHIE MEETS THE PUNISHER #1). Beowolf is a code-name for Mike Nero, a lycanthropic character seeking the secrets to eternal youth, who first appeared in the story "Love Really Bites" by Chris Nigro, in the 2013 anthology BLOOD & ROSES.--**APOCRYPHA**
2003 to Present--SABRINA'S SECRET LIFE--These adventures focus on Sabrina training at a witchcraft academy, and feature the rival character Cassandra (aka 'Portia' from "Friends Forever").
February 2004--THE SIMPSONS--"Milhouse Doesn't Live Here Anymore"--Salem appears. TV exhibition features Salem, voiced by the same actor

October 31, 2004--HACK/SLASH # 28/ARCHIE MEETS KISS--From James Bojaciuk: So...Since this comic has Riverdale covered with zombies, vampires, and such because of one of Sabrina's misfired spells; so this must happen at the same time as the Hack/Slash storyline where Riverdale was freed from the timelock spell. Yep. That's another sentence I never expected to type.
February 2009--WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE--"Helping Hand"--The Wizard Patent Manager's name is Mr. Spellman

April 2009--SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS--"SpongeBob SquarePants Vs. the Big One"--Davy Jones appears. Yes, the ghostly sea legend Davy Jones appears often, but in this instance, it's an appearance of Davy Jones, formerly of the Monkees. Davy Jones has appeared as a regular character on the Monkees playing a fictional version of himself, so like Seinfeld, all appearances of Davy Jones count as a MONKEES crossover. Davy Jones has appeared as a fictional version of himself in HEAD, THE MONKEES, GOLDBERG P.I., THE DREAMSTERS: WELCOME TO THE DREAMERY, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, HEY ARNOLD!, The 1st 13th Annual Fancy Anvil Award Show Program Special... Live!... in Stereo, SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH, THE SINGLE GUY, THE BRADY BUNCH MOVIE, HERMAN'S HEAD, THE NEW SCOOBY-DOO MOVIES, THE BRADY BUNCH, MAKE ROOM FOR GRANDDADDY, Z CARS and THE JOEY BISHOP SHOW.
August 2010--MELISSA & JOEY--"Pilot"--Mel shouts "Woo hoo!" at one point, which was Sabrina's catchphrase. Sabrina was also played by Melissa Joan Hart. It's my theory, based on how many times Melissa clearly references having been Sabrina, that at some point both main Sabrinas learned of each others' existence, and TV Sabrina, knowing she was a doppelganger, sacrificed her identity in order to help fix the timeline. As reality reordered itself to eliminate the redundancies, younger Sabrina was given a new identity within the timeline, but she clearly retained her former memories, but tries to keep up the premise.
August 2010--MELISSA & JOEY--"Boy Toys 'R' Us"--Mel says that one of the skirts Joe wants to give to charity got her backstage at an 'N Sync concert. 'N Sync famously guest starred in an episode of the show, also starring Melissa Joan Hart.
October 2010--MELISSA & JOEY--"A Fright in the Attic"--At a Halloween costume party, Joe sees someone dressed as a witch and comments to Melissa, "A teenage witch. That's cute. You should have done something like that." She replies, "Oh, been there, done that.". Melissa Joan Hart, who plays Mel, played the title character in Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.
2011--SABRINA & SALEM: TOGETHER AGAIN--A reunion special. Note that while Salem is still the same talking cat, Melissa Joan Hart is Melissa, not Sabrina!

c. November 11, 2012--FAMILY GUY--”Yug Ylimaf”--From Ivan: FAMILY GUY s11 e4 -- The 200th episode created a time warp that reversed the flow of time (complete with reverse Time Distortion) when Brian screwed up the time machine. At the end of the episode, the machine is fixed, time is flowing normally again, but time had already gone backwards far enough that Stewie was JUST born and on his way home. Stewie and Brian were completely aware of the differences, though, meaning that Stewie has a reason to have remembered more than one "first" Christmas and first birthday... and pretty much any other bizarre crap the show throws at us. And who's to say that the time reversal (with reverse time distortion) doesn't have some unfortunate snap-back effect, constantly expanding and contracting back to Stewie's first moments? Now if we assume this effect is confined to Quahog, then we have the reason for what is known as the Bedrock Anomaly to take place in this particular area. The Simpsons already has an out, sort of, thanks to Stephen King and Peter Straub's THE TALISMAN (which states that Springfield, Illinois sits on a dimensional weak spot), and South Park has that Cthulhu Cult that doomed Kenny to an endless cycle of death and rebirth which can be blown out of proportion to keep the whole community from aging with the rest of the world. And only Sabrina knows for sure, but something's very wrong in Riverdale (but yes, Sabrina DOES know for sure).
2013 to Present--SABRINA: SECRETS OF A TEENAGE WITCH--Sabrina is half-witch and half-human, and all super hero as she leads two vastly different lives; one disguised as a normal, klutzy high school student and the other as the top sorcery student in the magical world. When her two worlds collide, Sabrina is the only one who has the power to battle her foes, while managing to keep her magical identity a secret from humankind.

It should be noted that Archie regularly crosses with (and thus not worth noting above) SABRINA, JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS, THAT WILKIN BOY, KATY KEENE, and the MLJ super-heroes. Additionally, Archie and his supporting cast have appeared in hundreds of different comic titles, which you can find anywhere.
I will be updating the Josie and Archie blog posts to adjust for the time stop theory. The other Archie characters are not really worthy of their own blog as they don't have any real solo television presence.

FROM 1985 TO 1988, THERE WAS A PREVIOUS BLOCKING OF FAMILY ORIENTED SITCOMS ON ABC THAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A PRECURSOR TO TGIF. HOWEVER, FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS BLOG I'M ONLY CONSIDERING THE THE CLASSIC TGIF, WHICH WAS THE BLOCK OF PROGRAMMING ON ABC FRIDAY NIGHTS FROM 8 TO 10 PM FROM 1988 TO 2000.
TGIF DID HAVE A COMEBACK THAT RAN FROM 2003 TO 2005, BUT IT REALLY WASN'T THE SAME. IT SUFFERED FROM THE LACK OF INTERCONNECTEDNESS. WHERE WERE THE CAMEOS? WHERE WHERE THE GIMMICK EVENTS? THEN FROM 2012 TO 2014, THERE WAS THE SON OF TGIF, CALLED ABC COMEDY FRIDAY. AGAIN, JUST NOT THE SAME.
DC & Looney Tunes crossed over, albeit different universes, though in the Looney Tunes show Bugs Bunny is Batman and Duck Dodgers Daffy meets the Green Lantern (albeit possible time gap). Batman was on Scooby Doo and that links to other shows and that links to Cartoon Network shows, also Scooby Doo links to that BBC children in need Medley which humourously you also found out about, and that has Ben 10, which'll cross over with Generator Rex.
