X-Men in the MCU?

 So the X-Men are coming to the MCU.  Yay, I'm very excited!  But which X-Men?  We know they are coming from an alternate universe, and we have the original actors coming back, but still, which timeline?

I hope they aren't saying it's the Deadpool timeline.  

Here's the problem with Deadpool being in the MCU multiverse.  Deadpool and Wolverine was a fun movie.  But first off, Deadpool shouldn't have been in the same universe as Logan.  First, Logan is still alive in the present of Deadpool.  He hasn't died yet.  So it made no sense to go looking for a new Wolverine to replace him.  Second, the X-Men still exist in the present of Deadpool.  Prof. X is said to still lead the X-Men.  But according to the Logan timeline, the X-Men died shortly after the first film, and Prof. X is living with Logan in hiding.  

I know, it's a spoof movie.  And I'm fine with that.  Only, they made it part of MCU canon.  It's the same problem I have with She-Hulk.  I don't mind the talking to the fourth wall.  But when she changed the ending of her show in the final episode, that was a line.  It's why she can't show up in Doomsday.  

So I really hope the X-Men aren't coming from the same timeline as Deadpool/Logan, which shouldn't even be the same timeline.  

So then there's a few other options.  The original X-Men timeline was the first three movies, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the Wolverine, X-Men: First Class, and X-Men:  Days of Future Past.  It ceased to exist in Days of Future past though.  It was replaced by a shinier, happier future where everyone is still alive.  Could it be this future?  Note this future is not the same as the rest of the First Class timeline, because Dark Phoenix changes the timeline away from the future that Wolverine returned to in Days of Future Past.  

Or will this be a brand new timeline?  One based on the original X-Men films?   

I guess we'll have to wait to see.
