Weekly stats and announcements

THE TELEVISION CROSSOVER CROSSOVER UNIVERSE  LAUNCHED JANUARY 10, 2011 CELEBRATING FOUR YEARS  I don't usually post weekly stats here, but I do post them every Friday in the TVCU discussion group.  But since we hadn't posted pretty much anything of late, I felt I should post something.  Incidentally, since I posted this exactly one month ago, our numbers have come back to normal.  The anniversary has brought people back.   ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Weekly stats and announcements: Our numbers are way down. I guess it's understandable. We haven't posted much new stuff or even updated much lately, as we are working on the first tvcu book.  James Bojaciuk  did update the Holmes tulpa post, and I highly recommend it.  Ivan Ronald Schablotski  also recently updated his biography. We're still interested in new material fr...

Call-Out for Writers

THE TELEVISION CROSSOVER CROSSOVER UNIVERSE  LAUNCHED JANUARY 10, 2011 CELEBRATING FOUR YEARS  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Writers wanted for TVCU Crew: The Next Generation. As the TVCU enters its fourth year, many of us have moved onto other projects, while still trying to hold on dearly to our roots in the TVCU. I never want to stop doing the TVCU, despite the books, nor do I want it to become one of those stagnant, dead sites like has happened to so many of my other favorite fan sites. So as I put the call out in 2011 for guest writers and TVCU Crew members, I now do so again. If you are  a fan of the TVCU, and why are you reading this if you aren't, if you have any topic you'd like to tackle, please do so. For those who are already admins on the blog, you of course need no further permission to post, but for anyone else, feel free to submit to me if y...

An Interview with 18thWall Productions

THE TELEVISION CROSSOVER CROSSOVER UNIVERSE  LAUNCHED JANUARY 10, 2011 CELEBRATING FOUR YEARS  Mary-Helen Norris, who handles the press releases for 18thWall, interviewed me back in November in anticipation of the Horror Crossover Encyclopedia.  Some of my answers dove into discussing the TVCU, so I thought it was worth reprinting the interview here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A representative from the publisher interviewed me today, and I thought the questions were so good, that for marketing purposes, I should post here my answers. 18thWall:  Let's get started with the fact that you've been working on this for two years? James mentioned to me something about the TVCU and how that was the foundation of your book. Tell me a little bit about how you got started with the project. Robert E Wronski Jr.:   I first started noticing crossover...

Shermer, the town that John Hughes built

THE TELEVISION CROSSOVER CROSSOVER UNIVERSE  LAUNCHED JANUARY 10, 2011 CELEBRATING FOUR YEARS Yes, this is actually a crossover chronology, posted as recently as two months ago.  We're still posting new stuff here.  It's just not coming as fast as it used to.   ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **A PRE-CRISIS CROSSOVER** I previously did a quickie on this subject, and then a full separate blog post for the Vacation series, but here I will be doing a full, new blog post covering Shermer, Illinios 60062, the fictional setting of John Hughes films.  John Hughes once stated that everything he wrote took place in the same reality, and most of his stories either take place in Chicago, or its fictional suburb, Shermer. I will include Weird Science the TV series here, and there will be a bit of Vacation overlap.  Of course, as always, I expe...
